National Award recognition for Southern Highlands

Destination Southern Highlands has been recognised for the second year running taking out an award in the 2014 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards last Friday night, at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

The award was for the My Southern Highlands campaign that WISDOM worked on to develop alongside Destination Southern Highlands.

"We are thrilled that Steve and his team won this award. They are a hard working team and have put in a lot of effort in making the program a success. WISDOM have been pleased to work on this project and help deliver a great result" said Melissa Ritchie, Account Manager from WISDOM.

The award has also been backed up with the release of statistics by Tourism Research Australia that shows overnight visitations to the Highlands were up 53%.

A proud Steve Rosa, pictured right, thanked the local Tourism Industry and its residents when accepting the award. He also commented that "to be showcased against the best of the best is a real achievement. Our unique and specialised Visiting Friends and Relatives marketing campaign is currently the benchmark in this sector and has again been recognised nationally by our peers"
