The Summer Bus is an RTA initiative to combat drink driving and promote a safer way to travel home after a night on the town. The program has been running for many years now.
The original logo and branding had a more serious tone to it, using the serious nature of consequence to sell the message. In 2007, the RTA decided to change the direction of the advertising to promote a fun and relaxed brand to reinvigorate the message to the youth demographic.
WISDOM designed a logo with a friendly bus character as the new face of the Summer Bus. This was well received by the 18 - 25year old target demographic who simply wanted a good night out in the heat of Summer.
The existing logo and brand still runs and continues to be successful to this day, with affiliated campaigns adopting the brand for the "Easter Bus" and the year round "GO Bus" in Queanbeyan.
